On behalf of our Founding Members and our Board of Directors, we welcome you to the New Majority San Diego.  As the New Majority’s newest Chapter, we are tremendously proud of our rapid growth.  We also take great pride in the achievements we earned due to our high level  involvement  in many  important local and state campaigns  during last election cycle.  Our success is a true testimony to the caliber of members we have been fortunate enough to attract.  It is also proof that the New Majority philosophy and message is resonating throughout our county. 

Over the last several years, San Diego County has become increasingly important to Republican candidates running for state office in California.  Our Republican delegation in both the House of Representatives and the State Legislature are among the most visible Republican Leaders in California.  The New Majority will work closely with other like-minded organizations to continue to strengthen the San Diego County Republican Party, and will work to make the California Republican Party stronger than ever. As we continue to grow, we will strongly support the type of candidates and the important causes that will restore a common-sense approach to government.

By attracting many of the business and community leaders from across the County, our Chapter has had the privilege of tapping into a wealth of knowledge unmatched by most organizations.  Our members are actively encouraged  to participate within the Chapter’s operations.  Our members  play a large role in determining our direction and the political priorities for each election cycle.  We realize our membership is by far our most important resource.  As such, we will always continue to ask for their active participation in both our internal growth and our political activities.   

Last year, New Majority San Diego and its members were among the largest donors to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s successful re-election campaign.  We also contributed to the winning campaigns of Congressman Darrell Issa, Congressman Brian Bilbray, State Senator Mark Wyland, Assemblyman Martin Garrick, Assemblyman Joel Anderson and Assemblywoman Shirley Horton.  Locally, New Majority San Diego supported Mayor Jerry Sander’s reform package, by contributing heavily to Propositions B & C. 

In 2007 and 2008, we will focus our energy and resources on several important fronts.  Our members and Chapter will certainly get involved in the  campaign for a Republican President, as well as supporting candidates for the U.S. Congress, The California State legislature and local seats.  Our top priority is to make sure San Diego County, and the entire state, is represented by the best elected officials possible.
